The Impact of Social Media on Students’ Academic Performance
Abstract:
This study explores how social media usage affects the academic performance of students. With the increasing popularity of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, many students spend a significant amount of time online. The research aims to determine whether this usage has positive or negative effects on their studies. A survey was conducted among students to gather data on their daily social media habits and academic results. Findings suggest that excessive use of social media can lead to distractions and lower academic performance, while moderate use may provide benefits such as access to educational content and improved communication. The study concludes that proper time management is essential for students to balance social media use and academic responsibilities.
